Cancellation and Refunds Policy

At TechDr, we understand that circumstances may change. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for canceling appointments and requesting refunds. Please read this policy carefully before making a booking.

1. Appointment Cancellation

1.1 Patient Cancellation

Patients can cancel appointments through the following methods:

  • Using the cancellation link sent via WhatsApp or email
  • Using the "Cancel Appointment" feature on our platform
  • Contacting us directly via WhatsApp or email

1.2 Cancellation Timeframes

Refund Eligibility:

  • Prior to 24 hours: Complete refund (excluding service fee)
  • Between 4 to 24 hours before appointment: Partial refund will be processed
  • Less than 4 hours or after the scheduled time: No refund will be provided
  • No-show: No refund

1.3 Clinic/Doctor Cancellation

If a clinic or doctor cancels your appointment due to their unavailability or other reasons, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at a convenient time.

2. Refund Process

2.1 Refund Eligibility

Refunds are processed based on cancellation timing:

  • Prior to 24 hours: Complete refund (excluding service fee)
  • Between 4 to 24 hours: Partial refund will be processed
  • Clinic or doctor-initiated cancellations: Full refund
  • Medical emergencies (with valid documentation): Full or partial refund may apply
  • Technical errors in booking or payment processing: Full refund
  • Duplicate payments: Full refund of duplicate amount

Note: Service fees are non-refundable in all cases. The service fee amount varies and will be deducted from any refund amount.

2.2 Refund Processing Time

Refunds are typically processed within 7-10 business days after approval. The refund will be credited to the original payment method used during booking. Please note that bank processing times may vary.

2.3 How to Request a Refund

  1. Cancel your appointment using any of the methods mentioned above
  2. Contact us via WhatsApp (+91 90322 92171) or email (contact@techdr.in) with your appointment ID
  3. Provide reason for cancellation if applicable
  4. Wait for confirmation of refund processing

3. Rescheduling Appointments

Instead of canceling, you may choose to reschedule your appointment:

  • Rescheduling is free of charge if done more than 24 hours before the original appointment
  • Use the reschedule link sent via WhatsApp or email
  • Alternatively, cancel the current appointment and book a new one
  • Availability for rescheduled slots is subject to doctor/clinic availability

4. Special Circumstances

4.1 Medical Emergencies

In case of genuine medical emergencies (with valid medical documentation), refunds may be processed even if cancellation is made less than 4 hours before the appointment. Please contact us immediately with supporting documents. However, service fees may still apply.

4.2 Natural Disasters or Unforeseen Events

In cases of natural disasters, government restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances that prevent appointment attendance, full refunds or rescheduling options will be provided.

5. Non-Refundable Services

The following are typically non-refundable:

  • Appointments canceled less than 4 hours before the scheduled time or after the scheduled time
  • Service fees (as mentioned in refund eligibility)
  • No-show appointments
  • Services already rendered or consultations already provided
  • Payment gateway or processing fees (if applicable)

6. Payment Gateway Refunds

Refunds are processed through the same payment gateway used for the original transaction. The refund amount will be credited to:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Original card (may take 5-7 business days)
  • UPI: Original UPI account (typically 24-48 hours)
  • Net Banking: Original bank account (may take 7-10 business days)

7. Dispute Resolution

If you have concerns about a refund or cancellation, please contact us within 30 days of the appointment date. We will review your case and respond within 5-7 business days.
